Our sports law team advises clients on a wide range of sports-related legal disciplines including sponsorship, endorsement, insurance, individual and team contracts, disciplinary matters, intellectual property and restraint of trade issues. Our experts have also appeared before specialist sports tribunals on behalf of sports people.
 
Participants in the sports sector in New Zealand have a range of requirements, with which we can assist, including:
  • management and governance
  • marketing and commercialisation of intellectual property rights in New Zealand and overseas
  • sponsorship and endorsements
  • restraint of trade issues; balancing the interests of clubs and sports persons
