New Zealand wakes up to anti-money laundering risks

It's been a long time coming, but New Zealand's anti-money laundering and counter financing of terrorism legislation has finally been introduced.

The Bill marks a significant moment in New Zealand's global financial regulatory and enforcement compliance. Passage of the bill is seen to mark a clear and positive step toward New Zealand becoming more compliant with the important Financial Action Task Force guidelines and closer to risk avoidance of being blacklisted for non-compliance.
