Minter Ellison has been named ‘Law Firm of the Year’ for the third consecutive year at the annual Australian and New Zealand Insurance Industry Awards.

The award, presented by ANZIIF (Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance) and founding partner AIR (Asia Insurance Review), is the industry’s most prestigious and acknowledges excellence, achievement and contribution to the Australasian insurance industry.

Minter Ellison’s team of lawyers was commended for ‘demonstrating yet again how well it understands the dynamics of the insurance industry and the issues and challenges it faces’.

 

Law firms competing for the award are judged against a range of criteria, including understanding of the insurance market, responsiveness to insurer needs, provision of education and information to the industry, innovation and leadership.

Commenting on the win, partner and head of the insurance practice in Sydney, Pamela Madafiglio, said that it was extremely gratifying for the firm to be recognised again as the best in Australasia: ‘This third consecutive Award cements Minter Ellison’s position as Australasia’s premier legal adviser to the insurance industry – one that is truly trans-Tasman and cross divisional.
