Minter Ellison Rudd Watts NewsMERW supports NZ Professional Women Golfers 1 April 2010
Minter Ellison Rudd Watts recently supported the New Zealand Professional Women Golfers (NZPWG) Charitable Trust with the provision of legal advice and support of the South Island Pro-Am event, held on Sunday 21st February 2010 at Clearwater Resort in Christchurch.
The day was acknowledged a huge success, with $1000 raised for The First Tee of NZ, the chosen charity of NZPWG, with the money being pledged in support of junior girls’ golf in the Canterbury region. Some international professional golfers showcased their skills at the Pro-Am event, including Rebecca Hudson (4 time winner on the Ladies European Tour) and Felicity Johnson (2009 Tenerife Open winner). New Zealand's top professional players, Sarah Nicholson and Cathryn Bristow, were also in attendance.
