Minter Ellison Rudd Watts welcomes two new Senior Associates

Catherine Levermore and Rachael Schmidt-McCleave have joined the dispute resolution team at Minter Ellison Rudd Watts as senior associates. 

Catherine returns to the firm after three and a half years working with Barlow Lyde & Gilbert LLP and Clifford Chance LLP in the United Kingdom. An experienced commercial litigator she has represented clients in the energy, banking, and insurance sectors in a broad range of matters. Catherine began her legal career with Minter Ellison’s Auckland dispute resolution team.
 
A public law expert Rachel advises on civil aviation, health law, family law, education, public sector procuring and tendering, the Public Finance Act, the Commerce Act, the Official Information Act, the Privacy Act, issues of constitutional law and judicial review, charitable trusts, and immigration. Her career includes a year with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer’s litigation department in the UK before returning to New Zealand and the Crown Law Office.  She joins Minter Ellison after nearly ten years with the Crown Law Office, most recently as Crown Counsel.
 
Both Catherine and Rachael are based in the firm’s Wellington office.
