Three new senior appointments announced

Minter Ellison Rudd Watts has announced three new senior appointments in the firm's Auckland corporate practice.

 

Jeremy Patston advises clients on all aspects of general corporate and commercial advice including company incorporation, structuring, financing and securities, and insolvency. Jeremy has 14 years experience advising clients in the telecommunications and technology industries, and will further strengthen Minter Ellison's growth companies and venture capital practice.

 

Jeremy joins Minter Ellison Rudd Watts from law firm Duncan Cotterill, and has also worked as in house counsel for an international telecommunications company based in London and Telecom New Zealand.

 

Paul Mathewson advises on a range of corporate and commercial matters including consumer, regulatory, product, trading, health and safety, and advertising law. He has recently returned from the UK where he was a senior lawyer and manager of Tesco's UK consumer and regulatory legal team.  Paul also advised Tesco's domestic and international businesses on regulatory compliance, risk management and general commercial matters. 

 

He has also held positions in Linklaters" London office and another major New Zealand law firm.

 

Silvana Schenone is a senior corporate and commercial lawyer, with experience in securities and commercial major transactions, international arbitrations and M&A transactions. She joins Minter Ellison Rudd Watts from Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in New York. Prior to that, Silvana was an associate at Cariola Diez Perez-Cotapos & Cia in Santiago-Chile, and has also worked on secondments as General Counsel for Unilever Chile and Coca-Cola Company in Chile.  

 

Silvana holds a Master in Laws from Harvard University. She is fluent in both English and Spanish and will build the Latin-American practice of the firm.
