Lloyd is a senior partner in the Auckland Banking and Financial Services team. Lloyd is a former member of the New Zealand Securities Commission, and has a strong background in regulatory issues relating to the financial markets including the Reserve Bank Act, Securities Act, and Financial Advisors Act. He has extensive experience in a wide range of investment products including unit trusts, GIFs, superannuation schemes equity and debt offerings, as well as in corporate finance transactions.
A committed thought leader in the financial services area, Lloyd is a member of the INFINZ Securities Law Working Group and a recognised expert in securities law, the financial advisers regime and anti-money laundering/counter financing of terrorism financing. Lloyd has served, and currently serves on a number of boards. He is a co-author of Minter Ellison Rudd Watts’ Corporate Governance White Paper.
Lloyd has presented seminars and spoken at conferences in New Zealand and Australia on AML/CFT, the new Financial Advisers regime, and the Financial Markets Conduct Bill/Securities Law reform well as other banking and financial services topics.
