Senior Associate - Financial Services

Bryan is a Senior Associate in our Banking and Finance team. Bryan is proficient in financial markets conduct law (FMC Act), the AML/CFT Act, financial regulation, listing rules, M&A, capital raising, corporate and commercial law. He has experience in investment funds and traditional financial services (retail and wholesale) and FinTechs. He is an expert in virtual asset projects (cryptocurrency and blockchain) and their regulation.

Bryan’s clients include start-ups to medium & large corporates and financial institutions, both in New Zealand and offshore.  His work history includes working in-house at NZX (New Zealand’s first licensed securities exchange) and in private practice in New Zealand.

Bryan is the Chair of BlockchainNZ (which is part of the New Zealand Tech Alliance).

Digital Identity’s AML/CFT report

Provided legal input to Digital Identity NZ’s report on the Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism Act 2009 and digital identity (report issued October 2020).
