Cameron Taylor

Cameron works with New Zealand and international clients on a range of strategic transactions, including acquisitions (M&A), joint ventures, restructurings, capital raising, IPO’s and corporate governance.
Cameron regularly advises leading private and listed companies, financial institutions and private equity firms. He has extensive experience in the New Zealand market, as well as in New York and London. He spent more than seven years with premier U.S. law firm Cravath, Swaine & Moore and worked for Credit Suisse. With an extensive international and domestic profile, Cameron is regularly invited to speak at international conferences on M&A and corporate finance.
Prior to his legal career, Cameron was an international athlete and competed at the Olympic Games, World Track & Field Championships, NCAA Championships and World Junior Championships. Cameron is currently Chair of the board of Athletics New Zealand Inc.
He holds an M.B.A. in Finance from London Business School, an LLB (Hons) from the University of Auckland Law School, and a B.A. in Economics and B.B.A. in Finance from S.M.U. in Dallas, Texas.
Cameron is an Officer of the International Bar Association.

Acted for a major financial services entity on a complex transaction involving the sale of one of their business units to a listed off-shore entity.
Simultaneous acquisition of two entities
Acted for a listed multi-national entity on the simultaneous acquisition of two strategic businesses in New Zealand.
Servian acquisition of Enterprise IT
Acted for Serivan on the acquisition of 100% of the shares in Enterprise IT Limited.
TOMRA – Purchase of BBC Technologies
Advised TOMRA on its $67m acquisition of BBC Technologies, a leading manufacturer of Blueberry sorting equipment.
TOMRA Systems ASA
Acted for the purchaser of Compac Holdings on the acquisition of 100 per cent of its share capital from the founder and a number of other shareholders, assisting in all aspects of the transaction including the sale documentation and post-completion work.
Rangatira Limited
Acted for Rangatira Limited in their capacity as owner of approximately one third of the share capital of craft beer manufacturer Tuatara Brewing Company Limited on its sale to DB Breweries Limited who acquired 100 per cent of the company.
Tegel Group Holdings Limited
Part of the team that advised Affinity Equity Partners (majority shareholder) and Tegel Group Holdings Limited (as issuer) on the IPO of Tegel Foods, New Zealand’s largest vertically integrated poultry producer.
