James Dow

Senior Associate - Construction and Infrastructure

James is an infrastructure, construction and commercial lawyer. He has practiced in both New Zealand and the United Kingdom advising on a range of complex projects, commercial arrangements, developments, acquisitions and divestments. James’ experience spans many sectors including transport, water, energy, ports, education, corrections, housing and industry.

James advises both private and public sector clients in all phases of a project’s lifecycle from procurement, through construction and into operation. He also has significant general commercial experience having advised on numerous transactions and long-term arrangements.

James’ experience has seen him advise on a range of different contracting forms, structures and risk-sharing arrangements. James is pragmatic in his approach and clients highly value his advice on the suitability, bankability and risk mitigation strategies associated with different structures.
