Stacey Shortall and Cathy Quinn recognised as leading legal influencers in power list
The LawFuel Power List, in its fifth year of publication, is a list of the country’s top 50 most powerful and influential lawyers.
Former LawFuel Lawyer of the Year Stacey Shortall is recognised as a major influencer and philanthropic advocate as well as being an accomplished commercial lawyer. Stacey is regularly recognised and awarded for her leading legal expertise and as a change advocate in New Zealand.
Stacey has previously been named as a Blake Leader, a Women of Influence Award winner, a Kiwibank Local Hero award recipient and has twice been a semi-finalist for the Kiwibank New Zealander of the Year. In 2020, Stacey won the inaugural Chambers Diversity and Inclusion Awards: Asia–Pacific Social Mobility Lawyer of the Year for her pro bono work, and this year she was honoured with a Distinguished Alumni Award by the Te Herenga Waka-Victoria University of Wellington.
Former corporate partner and Chair of the firm, Cathy Quinn is also recognised for her role as a lead influencer on boards and in the wider governance community. Cathy is highly regarded in her governance roles including serving as a non-executive director of Fletcher Building, Fonterra, Tourism Holdings and Rangatira. Cathy is also chair of Fertility Associates.
The LawFuel Power List is based on submissions from lawyers, in-house counsel and other senior members of the profession.
