Allison is a banking and finance lawyer with more than 15 years’ experience advising both financiers and borrowers on all types of financing transactions and banking matters. Allison has extensive international and domestic expertise having spent ten years working on high-profile, cross-border financings in Singapore before returning to New Zealand.

Allison is known for being responsive, easy to work with and pragmatic. She loves what she does and her commitment to clients shows. Allison is a logical thinker, calm under pressure and solution oriented.

Her experience spans general corporate lending, property finance, acquisition finance and trade and commodity finance. Allison is sought out for her sustainable finance experience, having worked on some of Singapore’s ‘market firsts’ and largest sustainable finance transactions which helped shape the market. She brings that experience to the New Zealand market and continues to work on market leading sustainable financing transactions in New Zealand.

Having spent several years working in-house at global banks, she has a unique understanding of the environment in which banks operate which she is able to bring to her work. With excellent project management skills, she provides commercially attuned advice to help clients complete their most important transactions.

Allison began working at MinterEllisonRuddWatts in 2007 before moving to Singapore in 2011 to work for finance and projects team of global law firm, Baker McKenzie. She returned to MinterEllisonRuddWatts in early 2021.

Advising Westpac on its sustainability linked loans provided to The Warehouse Group and Genesis Energy.

Advising the sustainability coordinator and one of the lenders on a USD525 million sustainability linked revolving working capital facility for a major global food and agri-business company.

Advising one of the lenders on the USD50 million emerging markets sustainable borrowing base facility to a global agri-commodity trading and processing company.

Acting for Icon Developments in relation to Carlton Gore apartments and other developments.

Advising one of the lenders on the limited recourse receivables purchase programme for the international arm of one of China’s largest food companies.

Trusted adviser to Mediaworks including supporting it with a refinance of its loan facilities.

Advising Hirepool Group on all financing aspects including a refinance of senior and mezzanine facilities to recapitalise its balance sheet.
