Joshua is an employment law expert, with broad experience in advisory and contentious matters.

He regularly advises clients on restraints of trade and protection of confidential information, performance and disciplinary processes, restructuring and redundancy, as well as industrial relations and collective bargaining matters.

Joshua is also an expert in the immigration space, providing advice and support to both businesses and individuals with their immigration needs. In addition, he regularly advises a range of clients on health and safety issues, including litigation of such matters.

COVID-19 advice

Assisting a range of clients navigating complex issues arising out of the COVID-19 pandemic and its interplay with employment, health and safety, and privacy law. Key areas of advice and support include restructures, the wage subsidy scheme, and most recently vaccinations.

Representing clients in mediation

Representing numerous clients in complex mediation, including claims relating to unjustified dismissal, unjustified disadvantage, wage arrears, workplace bullying, and collective bargaining.

Corporate transactions

Advising clients in the various stages of corporate transactions, including due diligence, SPA reviews, employee transfers, and bulk visa variation applications.

Immigration support

Supporting visa applications for key employees of clients, managing bulk visa variation applications, assisting clients with obtaining accreditation, supporting individuals with obtaining residency in New Zealand, and providing guidance to businesses in the midst of border restrictions.
