Victoria is a commercial property lawyer with expertise in all aspects of property law. Victoria advises clients on commercial leasing, property acquisitions, disposals and developments, complex due diligence, subdivisions, and unit title developments. She has a particular focus on forestry including disposals and acquisitions, negotiations of forestry rights, intersection with the fintech space, the Emissions Trading Scheme and Overseas Investment.

Victoria’s clients are wide-ranging including individuals, private and listed companies, bodies corporate and trusts. Her commitment to understanding each client's unique needs and goals has allowed her to successfully navigate complex transactions and deliver exceptional results. This approach has made her a key contact and trusted advisor to clients.

She hugely enjoys being part of the property industry and getting to know her client’s business goals. She approaches her work with that same curiosity and enthusiasm, shown clearly in the quality of her advice and care for her clients. Career highlights

Acting for a forestry investment startup, MyNativeForest, to draft a suite of property contracts to help achieve their goal of planting more native trees in New Zealand, funded through its innovation in the first home ownership space.

Acting for an international asset management company on its acquisition of forests in New Zealand as part of its ambition to grow its investments in natural capital. This involved detailed due diligence on a large number of forestry bocks, overseas investment considerations and an overseas investment consent application.

Acting for international real estate funds, including Deka and UBS, on their retail and commercial leasing and other property work in respect of their Auckland and Wellington assets.

Acting for clients undertaking unit title subdivisions and advising building managers and bodies corporate of their obligations under the Units Title Act 2010.
