Holly is experienced in providing property law advice to both private and public sector clients.
Holly has a strong interest in commercial leasing and development matters (for both commercial landlords, and corporate and government tenants), along with a wealth of experience acting on property acquisition and divestment projects. She acts for a number of corporate and government tenants, providing both long-term strategic and day-to-day advice on matters arising under their national property portfolios. Her expertise also extends to building compliance issues, property aspects of M&A transactions, and property finance transactions.
Holly is valued by clients as a trusted adviser, whom she enjoys working closely with to identify commercially pragmatic solutions. Holly’s clients include Z Energy Limited, Argosy Property Limited, the Ministry of Education, the Department of Corrections and the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment.
Ministry of Education property portfolio
Assisting the Ministry of Education on various matters affecting its national school property portfolio. The Ministry of Education undertakes more property work that any other New Zealand client, often seen by the market as the exemplar Government client.
Large leasing transactions
Acted for Argosy Property in negotiating separate leasing arrangements with tenants at 7 Waterloo Quay, Wellington.
Progressive home ownership
Advising Kāinga Ora on the design and structure of its new progressive home ownership scheme.
Property transactions across the Z Energy network
Working closely with Z Energy’s in-house legal team, property team and external lease managers on all aspects of Z Energy’s property portfolio, including being involved in strategic management of its portfolio, retail network, truck stop network, aviation sites and terminals, as well as its development programme for new retail sites.
Pathway to home ownership for Maori families
Assisting Te Tumu Paeroa and Te Tumu Kainga by acting on the acquisition of the affordable dwellings and then implementing a ‘rent to buy’ home ownership scheme and/or a shared home ownership scheme.
