Congratulations to Tourism Holdings Limited and IFM Investors on winning their categories at the prestigious INFINZ Industry Awards last night.

Tourism Holdings took home the M&A Transaction of the Year for its merger with Apollo Tourism & Leisure, while IFM Investors won Mid-Market Debt Transaction of the Year for Lodestone Energy’s subordinated debt financing at the awards that celebrate excellence and leadership in New Zealand’s financial sector ecosystem.

Leading law firm, MinterEllisonRuddWatts advised on both winning transactions.

Partners Mark Stuart, Kate Lane, Jennifer Hambleton and Dr Ross Patterson were delighted to work alongside long-standing client, Tourism Holdings on the complex transaction that is believed to be the first acquisition by a New Zealand-listed company of an Australian-listed company by way of a Scheme of Arrangement.

Partner Steve Gallaugher lead the team advising IFM Investors, a leading global provider of investment services, on its junior debt financing of Lodestone Energy’s solar development project. The project is set to be New Zealand’s largest of its kind, comprising five solar farms. When completed, the five solar farms will increase the country’s current solar production by eight times, significantly boosting net-zero efforts.
